The tea in 3

  1. Jack Doherty beat Island Boys member Kodiyakredd by first-round TKO, about 30 seconds in, at Brand Risk 16.
  2. After both Island Boys lost, Adin Ross said on air: "We are banning them."
  3. Adin's Kick stream peaked a little over 1.4 million concurrent viewers, win.gg reports.

Jack Doherty needed about as long as a TikTok. At Adin Ross’s Brand Risk 16 in Miami on Oct 16, in his Brand Risk boxing debut, Doherty beat Island Boys member Kodiyakredd by technical knockout in the first round, roughly 30 seconds in, according to Athlon Sports.

A few fights later, both Island Boys had been stopped, and Adin went on air with a verdict: “We are banning them.” Meanwhile, his Kick stream was hitting a new viewership milestone.

What actually happened

Athlon Sports, republished by Yahoo Sports, describes the KO like this: Kodiyakredd went down early, the referee let the fight continue, and Doherty landed two more punches for a second knockdown that ended it.

His twin brother Flyysoulja didn’t fare better. He lost an MMA bout to Jeremy Smith by first-round TKO, the same report says.

  2. Doherty stops Kodiyakredd in about 30 seconds.

  4. Adin: “We are banning them.”

The ban, explained (sort of)

Adin announced it during the live broadcast with a thumbs-up, per Athlon. That’s about all we know. How long the ban lasts, or whether it’s official beyond that on-air moment, is unclear.

According to win.gg, Adin’s stream crossed 1 million concurrent viewers just a few matches in and hit “a little over 1.4 million” at its peak. The outlet says he reportedly became the first English-speaking Kick streamer to reach that mark.

Co-streams added more on other platforms. win.gg says Adin was averaging roughly 200,000 viewers on Twitch and 500,000 on YouTube at the same time. Kick co-founder Eddie Craven praised Adin in a post on X and said the whole platform was just under 3 million live viewers during the broadcast, per the same report.

Grain of salt

Adin’s peak is a reported figure, and the platform-wide total comes from Kick’s own co-founder. Neither number has been independently audited.

The main event

The night closed with Yeraldin “Yera” González beating Evelyn Ortiz by unanimous decision. Evelyn stepped in for her sister, Wendy Ortiz, who failed to qualify medically for the fight, win.gg reports. The outlet calls online claims that Wendy got scared and backed out unverified.

Timing helped too. Kick launched Kick Events, a hub that collects its biggest livestreams in one place, just a few days before the card, according to win.gg.

What happens next

Doherty’s debut goes down as a win, and the full show is up as a VOD on Adin’s Kick channel. The Island Boys are, at least for now, out. Whether the ban survives the next Brand Risk lineup announcement is the real question.
