Sidemen’s Netflix series ‘Outside’ dropped Sept 28: who’s in it and how it works

The Sidemen are back on Netflix, and this time they’ve left the house. Outside, a brand-new spinoff of their reality format Inside, premiered on Sept 28, according to Radio Times and Verge Magazine, with all eight episodes of season one available, per Epicstream.
How it works
Where Inside kept creators in a controlled house, Outside drops them in a forest. Per Radio Times, the group battles for a prize pot of up to £1 million, and every comfort they choose eats into the cash they could take home. Netflix describes “brutal decisions, unpredictable challenges and plenty of Sidemen mischief.”
Syeda Irtizaali, Netflix UK’s director of unscripted, called it “all the drama of Squid Game: The Challenge but with all of the Sidemen comedy.” The show was announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival in August, per Radio Times.
Who’s in the woods
Radio Times profiles the contestants. Some of the names:
- Matt Morsia: fitness YouTuber known as MattDoesFitness and “Legend” on the BBC’s Gladiators.
- Sara Saffari: American fitness creator with millions of followers who co-hosts a podcast with Bradley Martyn.
- TheBurntChip (Josh Larkin): YouTuber and podcaster who co-hosts The Fellas.
- Dani Babes: UK comedic creator who was announced in 2026 as host of Dani’s Side Quest, a YouTube show from Alex Cooper’s Unwell network.
- Chloe Veitch: reality star and presenter who broke through on Too Hot to Handle.
- Louis Russell, Paigey Cakey, Heinz Baines, Moyo and Kaci Jay, Lacy and Yonna Ray round out the list Radio Times published.
Epicstream’s list matches, except it spells the last name “Yonna Jay.”
The Shop
Ahead of launch, Netflix ran a one-day pop-up called “The Shop” at BOXPARK Shoreditch in London on Sept 25, per Verge Magazine. Visitors picked a mystery prize category and then chose to STICK or TWIST: keep the prize, or swap it for another. More than 100 prizes, worth £50,000 in total, included a real gold bar.
Why it matters
Radio Times says Inside’s third series reached No. 1 on Netflix’s top 10 in more than 10 countries earlier this year. Outside is Netflix’s bet on repeating that.
