TwitchCon San Diego is Nov 13-15: tickets, schedule and what to know

TwitchCon San Diego is Nov 13-15 at the San Diego Convention Center, and tickets get pricier on Oct 27. Here is the short version of what is on and what has changed.

The basics

The TwitchCon site lists wristband pickup only on Thursday, Nov 12, from noon to 8 p.m. PT, with show hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

One-day passes and a three-day pass with a party bundle are on sale, per Yahoo. The TwitchCon site warns that prices rise on Oct 27, and Yahoo says some tiers are already sold out. Twitch’s blog says San Diego stays in the Gaslamp Quarter through 2028.

What changed this year

• Meet and Greets. Twitch’s March blog post says that moving forward every Meet and Greet requires a reservation and walk-ups are not allowed. Streamotive adds that this includes guests.
• Security. Twitch says it has increased its overall investment in TwitchCon security.
• IRL streaming policy. Twitch introduced a dedicated IRL policy at TwitchCon Rotterdam in May, per its blog. Streamotive lists its rules: keep pathways clear, no streaming in No Recording areas, and a lanyard to signal you do not want to be filmed. Neither page says whether San Diego uses the same policy, so check TwitchCon’s site.

What is on

• Twitch Rivals Arena: live streamer competitions.
• Glitch Theater: the opening ceremony, headline shows and a drag showcase.
• Creator Camp: workshops on growing a stream.
• Expo floor: Artist Alley, gaming demos and sponsor activations.

Yahoo lists a Rings of Power Dungeons & Dragons one-shot led by Critical Role, a Blade Runner 2099 panel, Capcom presentations including the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil, a Roblox meetup and LAN takeover, and music-streamer sets.

Watching from home

Some programming will stream on Twitch, including an in-flight gaming tournament before the show opens. Yahoo says more details are expected closer to the date.

Heads up

Wikipedia lists The Streamer Awards for Nov 12, the night before TwitchCon opens. We did not find an official page confirming the date, so check The Streamer Awards’ own site.

Who is going

We did not find an official guest list in the pages we opened, so we are not naming streamers here. Yahoo’s rundown leans on game and franchise programming rather than big-name creators.
