The tea in 3

  1. Disney and Dude Perfect announced a company-wide creative partnership on Oct 15.
  2. Planned content ties into Super Bowl LXI, Star Wars' 50th anniversary and Avengers: Doomsday.
  3. Some of their short-form library goes to Disney+, ESPN and Disney socials; financial terms weren't disclosed.

Dude Perfect just signed a company-wide creative partnership with Disney. The Walt Disney Company announced the deal on Oct 15, the same day The Hollywood Reporter broke it as an exclusive, and it reaches across Disney’s entertainment, sports, consumer products, and parks and experiences businesses.

In plain English: the trick-shot guys from Texas now get to make content in Marvel, Star Wars and Super Bowl territory.

What’s actually in the deal

According to Disney’s announcement, the projects being highlighted are content around:

  • Super Bowl LXI
  • The 50th anniversary of Star Wars
  • Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday, including Avengers-themed content for Dude Perfect’s series Overtime

Dude Perfect will make original content for its own channels inspired by Disney franchises and events, with select pieces featured on Disney+. Disney also gets access to a selection of the group’s existing short-form library for Disney+, ESPN and Disney’s social platforms.

The announcement doesn’t disclose financial terms or how long the deal runs.

What they said

We’ve been Disney kids forever, from wearing out the VHS tape of The Lion King to making core memories as a family at Disney World.— Garrett Hilbert, Dude Perfect co-founder, in a statement, Oct 15

Hilbert added that “Disney taught us to go big and dream,” per THR. Disney chief marketing and brand officer Asad Ayaz said in a statement that Dude Perfect “brings a distinctive voice and an inventive approach to everything they do.”

Why Disney wants this

This isn’t their first collab. Dude Perfect’s “Going to Every Disney Park in 75 Hours” video, which sent them to all 12 Disney parks worldwide, pulled 13M+ views in its first 24 hours, the channel’s No. 2 first-day performance ever on YouTube, Disney says.

THR notes Disney has been signing creators to similar deals, including Dhar Mann and Like Nastya, and has a deal with TikTok to bring some short-form content to Disney+. THR also points out that when Dude Perfect took its Highmount money in 2024, Coby Cotton said the group wanted to push into live events and products, two things Disney is very, very good at.

Why it matters

Creator studios are turning into media companies, and the biggest legacy studio is now paying attention. Dude Perfect, founded in 2009 by five Texas A&M students, now runs an 80,000-square-foot facility in Frisco, Texas, per THR.

What happens next

Disney says the collabs are planned over the next year but hasn’t given release dates. Keep an eye on Dude Perfect’s channel and Overtime for the first Avengers content, and on Disney+ for the library drop.
