Who is Marlon? The streamer Vanity Fair put on its “State of American Style” list

Marlon Lundgren Garcia, known as Marlon, is a Swedish-born streamer with 2.8 million Twitch followers, according to Complex. In August, Vanity Fair named him “The Face” of its September issue’s “State of American Style” portfolio. This month, he was nominated for Best Breakout Streamer at the 2026 Streamer Awards.

The basics

Complex describes him as a Swedish-born model and internet streamer. He is known for friendships with former FaZe Clan members, and his Wikipedia page says he started streaming on Twitch in 2024.

The Vanity Fair moment

Complex reported on Aug 21 that Vanity Fair’s September 2026 issue featured him in its “State of American Style” portfolio. The feature was written by José Criales-Unzueta and photographed by Luis Alberto Rodriguez. The magazine’s description: “the kind of face (and six-foot-five physique) of perfection a generation of men pursue for themselves.”

Vanity Fair’s framing, per Complex, was that “in the age of protein, peptides, and looksmaxxing, everybody wants to look new.” Complex noted that a streamer, DigitalTrapGEM, questioned using someone born outside the U.S. to represent American style, while a separate post highlighting the description drew more than 2,000 likes.

The CORE house

Marlon is one of six founding members of CORE, a creator group Tubefilter covered on May 1. It says all six were previously signed to FaZe Clan: Marlon, Adapt, Lacy, Stable Ronaldo, Silky and JasonTheWeen. The name stands for “Create, Own, Run, Everything,” and the plan is a $20 million house and old-school vlog content.

The Streamer Awards

Per Geo News’s full nominee list, Marlon is up for Best Breakout Streamer alongside Katie B, Yonna, Arky and Joe Bartolozzi. He is also in Best Stream Duo with Lacy. Voting opened Oct 16 and closes Oct 31, and the ceremony is Nov 12 in Los Angeles, streaming live on Twitch and YouTube. Geo News adds that voting requires registering on the awards website. His group CORE is also on the ballot for Best Content Group.

Why people are talking about him

Few streamers go from a 2024 start to a major magazine in about two years. Whether that makes him “the face” of anything is exactly what Vanity Fair’s critics and fans are arguing about.
