The tea in 3

  1. Sam Golbach and Colby Brock's XPLR Club relaunched with Uscreen, the company announced Oct 7; the club is now live.
  2. It offers 100+ hours of content, monthly livestreams and early merch drops, with a new lower-priced content-only tier.
  3. The timing coincides with Hell Week, one of their biggest series of the year, per the press release.

Sam and Colby, the paranormal investigation duo with more than 16 million YouTube subscribers, relaunched their paid membership hub, XPLR Club. Uscreen, the video-membership company that now powers it, announced the relaunch in a press release on Oct 7, and Tubefilter flagged the move in its weekly roundup. Most of the details come from that company announcement.

What members get

XPLR Club is a subscriber-only, streaming-style platform. Per the release, it includes:

  • Over 100 hours of content: full-length investigations, behind-the-scenes footage and Sam and Colby’s entire video archive.
  • Monthly livestreams and ways to connect with the duo and other fans.
  • Early merch drops, member-only merch and signed gifts.

The press release says that content is not available on YouTube or Netflix.

Our fans have given us everything, and we want to give them something unforgettable in return.— Sam Golbach and Colby Brock, in the Uscreen release

Why Hell Week

The timing lines up with Hell Week, which the release calls one of the duo’s biggest series of the year, with new YouTube episodes through October. Tubefilter sees the membership as something that will “keep Sam and Colby in the foreground” through another spooky season.

The business angle

Uscreen CEO Allison Yazdian said the platform lets creators “go deeper with their most dedicated fans and build recurring revenue.” That is the pitch across the creator economy right now: subscriptions you control rather than ad revenue an algorithm controls.

The duo are also founders of the XPLR apparel brand. The release notes they have expanded into theatrical releases and publishing, including “Sam and Colby: Legends of the Paranormal,” which played in hundreds of theaters nationwide.

Most of the detail here comes from Uscreen’s own release, which is promotional, and the release does not give a member count for the club.

What happens next

Per the release, the new XPLR Club is live now at xplrclub.com, with Hell Week episodes rolling out on YouTube through October.
