Who is Rayasianboy? The streamer Kai Cenat met at a 7-Eleven is heading back to Japan

Rayasianboy, real name Chen-Ruei “Ray” Hsu, is the Taiwanese streamer Kai Cenat has confirmed he will bring along for the next stop of his Exploring the Unexplored series: Japan, where the two first met.

Kai said the Japan episode will run across multiple streams, unlike the single-stream Iceland episode, and that he and Ray will return to Japan after three years, Win.gg reported on Oct 9. Kai’s channel has since posted a trailer called “Returning To Japan.” The stream date and start time are TBA as far as we could confirm, so check Kai’s channels for the schedule.

How they met

In July 2023, Ray was on a school trip in Japan while Kai was streaming nearby. Ray followed clues from the livestream to a 7-Eleven and walked up to him, and the moment was caught on stream and spread online, according to Wikipedia. Sneaker Freaker tells the same story and says Kai invited Ray back to hang out the next day.

Ray has left the Clover Boys organization, which led some fans to wonder if the Japan trip would still happen. Kai confirmed it will. Win.gg says Kai helped grow Ray’s career through collabs, and Ray has appeared in streams and videos with AMP members.
